The Saucony x Hommewrk Jazz 81 celebrates musician Trinidad Jame$' vibrant Trinidadian heritage. An electric color palette and bright design elements transform this classic silhouette. Continuing to channel his work on new and unexpected canvases, Trinidad drew inspiration from a sneaker he first owned as an immigrant moving to America.
As part of a collection that celebrates Trinidad Jame$’ heritage, the story continues with the second colorway in “Carnival Black”. The Jazz 81 has the same beautiful materials as the “Sorrel Red” that debuted last November, featuring a semi-transparent toe box, brushed suede, soft premium leather and multiple lace options in primary colors as well as the color Trinidad is most often associated with - gold. The “Carnival Black” Jazz 81 takes things a step further adding a glow-in-the-dark outsole, that glows in 3 different colors. A signature design element is the hidden embroidery behind the tongue, this time revealing a gold steel pan, which honors “Panorama” an annual event that takes place around “Carnival” and hosts steel band competitions in Trinidad and Tobago.
